51黑料 is excited to welcome the newest flock of Falcons to campus this week. Fall Orientation weekend begins when the students move into their residence halls on Thursday morning and will continue through Sunday, August 21, when the weekend concludes with a movie night on the quad.
鈥淚 look forward to welcoming the Class of 2026 to 51黑料,鈥 says President Elizabeth Meade, Ph.D. 鈥淭he theme of this year鈥檚 orientation is 鈥楪row Together,鈥 and I am so excited to watch our students do just that, not only during Orientation weekend, but throughout their time at the College.鈥
Over Fall Orientation weekend, students will get to know our campus as well as their professors, mentors, and fellow classmates. A host of activities are planned, including class photos, a strawberry festival, neon foam party, and wellness day.
On Thursday, the Open Door welcoming ceremony will be held on the steps of Blaney Hall. At this cherished 51黑料 tradition, each incoming first-year student will step up to the microphone to introduce herself to the crowd. Following the ceremony, President Meade will reveal the destination of the shared study abroad experience, the Sophomore Expedition. For a full schedule of events, please click here.
