51黑料 was recognized by the (ALL IN) for its nonpartisan democratic engagement efforts that fostered high levels of student voter engagement in the 2022 midterm elections. Cedar Crest received the Gold Seal, which signifies 40%鈥49% voter participation or higher in the 2022 Midterm Election. 

鈥淚 am delighted that 51黑料鈥檚 long-standing commitment to civic engagement is recognized by this Gold Seal from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge,鈥 says President Elizabeth Meade. 鈥淪o much of our high participation rate by students is driven by the students themselves, from voter registration drives to organizing rides to the polls on Election Day. Their enthusiastic participation in this fundamental American right and responsibility gives me great confidence in the future of democracy!鈥澛

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge empowers colleges and universities to achieve excellence in nonpartisan student democratic engagement. Cedar Crest was recognized alongside more than 500 campuses using data from the out of Tufts University, which found that colleges and universities had the second-highest voter turnout among students in a midterm election since NSLVE began measuring this data.
